Lilo Social is hiring a full-time copywriter to help capture the voice of our portfolio of brands and write for paid social ads captions and copy, search ads, emails, and landing pages.



The Position

The main focus of this role is to become the voice of our portfolio of brands to help improve copy across marketing assets such as ads, landing pages, and emails. You will be working closely with our creative strategist to bring strategies and concepts to life through thoughtful messaging. In this role, you’ll be a part of a fast-growing team and help scale some of the most promising direct-to-consumer brands. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of ecommerce and direct-to-consumer brands, has digital agency experience, and is looking to own responsibility for copywriting across clients that range from early-stage startups to growing brands.

Our number one focus is to drive growth and ROI for our clients. You will be expected to manage needs internally while providing insight to clients to understand creative approaches. You will use your writing experience to write meaningful and concise copy to drive sales growth.

Required Skills

  • To go with English language skills you’ll need the ability to spot errors in your own and in other team members work. All copy should be as error free as possible before being sent to the client
  • In some cases, being direct could be powerful but, having a wide vocabulary of words to choose from, instead of the same old headlines is a must.
  • Knowing how to carry out research will be helpful in this role. In order to write convincing copy, you’ll have to find out about the product(s) our brands are selling. This means discovering its features, benefits and unique selling points.
  • Having excellent research skills also applies to your communication with the client. Asking the right questions will allow you to understand a product inside out, which is vital to sell it effectively.
  • As a copywriter it’s vital to be able to put yourself in the shoes of the buyer. You must be able to persuade the customer that the product you are writing copy for is going to benefit them.

  • Writing clear and error-free content for a ads, ad copy, emails, and landing pages that reflects the brands’s voice
  • Meeting with client and creative team to understand each brand’s message, brand voice and target audience
  • Proposing copy concepts in an engaging way for the internal creative team and carrying out projects once they are approved
  • Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts
  • Collaborating with the media and creative departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of copy needs for each brand
  • Working with client feedback to edit and modify copy to meet their content expectations
